Terms & Conditions
GENERAL RULES
Treat the space, furniture, props, equipment and everything else with respect.
All our furniture, props and equipment can be moved around and used as needed. However, please return all furniture, props and equipment back in their original layout before leaving the studio (including lounge, coffee table, chairs, stools, props, clothes rack, steamer, step ladder, digi tables, poly boards, poly board stands, C stands, light stands, shot bags, backdrop paper rolls, etc).
Studio must be left clean and tidy. If any excess cleaning, rearranging or rubbish removal is required to bring the studio back to the same condition prior to the booking, we reserve the right to charge an additional cleaning fee of $150 + GST.
All efforts are made to keep our cyclorama as clean as possible. If you would like a fresh coat of paint on CYC wall for your booking this can be arranged for an additional fee of $180 + GST. We reserve the right to charge this fee for any excessive damage or marking to the cyclorama left after your booking (this may include stains left by makeup, self tan, body oils and glitters; large black stain left by rubber soles or equipment/props; scratches or marks that have lifted the paint from the floors). We strongly suggest your crew to wear shoe covers or shoes off to avoid soles marking the cyclorama floor. Talent should have tape applied to the bottom of shoes if possible.
Most of our photography equipment is included in the booking, except equipment located on the equipment shelf besides the kitchenette and backdrop paper rolls. Equipment on the shelf and Backdrop Paper Rolls are for HIRE ONLY, please do not touch equipment shelf and paper rolls if you didn’t hire them. If you didn’t hire the equipment/backdrop at the time of booking but decide to hire on set, please notify us before you use them and we will charge accordingly after your session.
Studio hire hours are including bump in and bump out. If you required extra time to move things, loading, setting up/packing down and cleaning up, please book appropriately or you will be charged for overtime at $150 + GST Per Hour after you exceed your booking time.
We will always try to accommodate deliveries/pick-ups before and after shoot. Please provide us with sufficient advance notice and all necessary information so we can facilitate this, although it may not always be feasible.
Kanvas Studios does not accept responsibility and/or liability for the loss or damage of personal belongings and equipment held on-premises by the hiring party and those associated with them.
Kanvas Studios compels the hiring party to ensure that all necessary public liability insurances and any other required insurances are operative for all persons in the studio across the hire period, that is valid to cover all events including accidents, injuries or death. The Hiring Party is solely responsible for this.
DAMAGE POLICY
If you break, stain, rip, or any form of damage to the studio, you are responsible for notifying us. And you will be charged for repair or full replacement of damaged items as inspected by us.
When using the cyclorama wall, it is important that no person, props, or equipment is placed or stepping on the curves of the cyclorama. Do not dragging items across the cyclorama, please lift everything. If the cyclorama wall is damaged, we will organise repairs and invoice you for the repair costs.
Our studio is monitored by video camera as a security measure, and will be used to confirm any damage/theft/leaving the studio late.
BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS
All studio hire bookings are to be paid in full at the time of booking via bank transfer.
Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.
Credit Card and Pay Pal Payments are accepted, transaction fee applies.
Date holds are on a case by case basis. Holds will be released after 48 hours. Kanvas Studios may cancel your booking and release it to another client if You do not confirm your booking within a reasonable time.
CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY
NO EXCEPTIONS NOR NEGOTIATION
No refund, only studio credit for cancelled bookings. Studio credit is available for your rebooking within 30 days from your original booking date subject to studio availabilities.
Cancellations/Rescheduling within 24 hours of the commencement of your booking will incur 100% of the hiring charges.
Cancellations/Rescheduling within 2 business days of the commencement of your booking will incur 50% of the hiring charges.
Cancellations/Rescheduling within 4 business days of the commencement of your booking will incur 25% of the hiring charges.
All other cancellations/Rescheduling outside of 4 business days of the commencement of your booking, we will issue a full refund in studio credit.
Bookings may be rescheduled a maximum of 1 time.
